Bees of the FIS hotel
Honeybees joined the “family” of our loyal hotel guests in the summer of 2018 and settled down on the gym roof. We are very happy to support the beekeeping tradition with this rarity and to offer our home-made mountain honey for breakfast, with tea, in our special honey dessert or as part of a relaxing honey massage.
We want our bees fly around the very bosom of Tatra nature which they can influence positively. After all, the beekeeping tradition is one thousand years long in Slovakia and contributes to the existence of the humankind considerably.
Enjoy the taste of honey
To support the “Bees in the mountains” project, a special educational wall has been created to inform about the bees and their importance. An educational kid´s corner is available too. The hotel serves home-made honey cakes, offers relaxing honey massages and various honey products.

She Fell from the Clouds also to our FIS hotel.
"She Fell from the Clouds" was a popular Czechoslovak TV series in the Slovak language created between 1978 and 1980. It was based on the book of Czech writer Václav Borovička – Spadla z nebe (She Fell from the Sky, 1967). The series was shot mainly in Slovakia in the High Tatras and a lot of the legendary scenes were made at our FIS hotel. The film tells the story of an unusual girl called Majka, who came from the Gurun planet and landed in Čabovce, a small Slovak town, where she met local children and experienced exciting adventures with them.
Let’s remember the well-known series at our “corner” dedicated to Majka. Have a picture of yourself taken next to a film poster, read more about the series at an information board.
