Szczyrk Mountain Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in Poland. Situated in the Beskid Śląski mountain range, on the slopes of Małe Skrzyczne (1211 m) and Wierch Pośredni (1000 m), it is perfect for tourists from the Silesian and Lesser Poland conurbation as well as for the southern neighbours from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Our story
Grandhotel **** Starý Smokovec has been writing its long story in the heart of the High Tatras under Mt Slavkovský štít since 1904. The first big hotel in the Tatras has been visited by various eminent personalities – Saxon prince Frederick Augustus, Czechoslovak president Eduard Beneš, British prime minister Harold Wilson, Fidel Castro and many others.

Parking for hotel guests
Due to the improvement of services for our hotel guests, from 20.12. In 2023, we will introduce new parking conditions for guests of Grandhotel Starý Smokovec.
For our hotel guests, 2 parking lots are available right next to the hotel.

That´s why our common areas are named after the most eminent ones.
Apiary and Bee House at the Grandhotel
Thank you for a wonderful apitherapy season in the Bee House
As of September 30, 2025, apitherapy in the Bee House has come to an end. The bees have already settled in for their winter rest and are under the careful care of our beekeeper.
We thank all our guests who enjoyed this unique experience in the Tatras, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the summer of 2026.
