How can I get to the hotel?
By car – approx. 10 min from Poprad, parking directly at the hotel,
By train – the nearest railway station is in Starý Smokovec, 5 min. walk from there or a short taxi ride, By plane – Poprad Airport.
When and where does the hotel ski bus / aquabus run?
The hotel ski bus runs every half hour from 8:30 to 11:30 and then from 12:30 to 16:30 – this may vary depending on the operation of the cable cars and the opening hours of the Tatranská Lomnica ski resort. In case of low hotel occupancy, it operates on demand. The same system applies for the return trip – from the ski resort to the hotel. The hotel ski bus runs exclusively to the Tatranská Lomnica resort.
During August 2026, a hotel aquabus will also be available for hotel guests (staying for 2 nights or more) – providing transfers to the Tatralandia and Bešeňová water parks. Advance reservation at the hotel reception is required as the number of seats is limited.
Where is the hotel located?
Grandhotel Starý Smokovec is located in the center of Starý Smokovec in the High Tatras, a few meters from the lower station of the funicular to Hrebienok.

8 room types are available, you can stay in a single room as well as in a 4-person apartment.

There is no air conditioning in the rooms and public areas.
