About the resort

The High Tatras are the highest mountain range in Slovakia and the oldest national park in the country where tourism has a long tradition. The unique geographical location of the smallest high mountains in the world is based on big altitude differences, beautiful sceneries and views similar to those in the Italian Dolomites. The development of ski resorts and tourism began in Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec and Tatranská Lomnica more than 100 years ago. The unique atmosphere and a more than 100-year-long tradition of the settlements remind of St. Moritz and Zermatt.

- a mountain resort with over 24km of ski pistes and 20 cableways and ski lifts

- 20km of ski pistes covered with snow made by 284 snowmaking machines

- cableways transport more than 21,500 passengers per hour

- the highest located spot in the High Tatras has the altitude of 2,625 metres
