- • The High Tatras are a paradise for cycling enthusiasts, offering more than 300 km of marked cycling routes and scenic rides suitable for everyone – from leisure cyclists and families with children to experienced riders and mountain biking enthusiasts.
- There are routes for every type of cyclist:
- gentle, mostly flat routes perfect for relaxed family rides,
- challenging climbs beneath the Tatra peaks for those seeking a real test
- the so-called Sub-Tatra Cycling Trail, which runs through spectacular scenery around much of the Tatras
Dinner under the Stars at Skalnaté Pleso >>
- Enjoy an extraordinary evening beneath the Tatra night sky. This unique experience includes a cable car ride to Skalnaté Pleso, a delicious dinner at the modern Panorama Restaurant and an unforgettable stargazing session accompanied by expert commentary from scientists of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
- An exciting downhill adventure for the whole family. The route is easy to manage and follows a paved track from Štart down to the lower cable car station in Tatranská Lomnica.
- Escape to Skalnaté Pleso, where mountain scenery meets endless family fun. Breathe in the fresh alpine air, enjoy scenic walks and discover activities tailored to visitors of all ages. Children can enjoy a beautiful playground and make new friends while parents can relax with a cup of coffee in peaceful surroundings.
- Boating on the tarns of Štrbské pleso and Nové Štrbské pleso has been a cherished tradition for more than 130 years. Visitors can choose from 22 boats moored at a newly built pier offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks. For an extra-special experience, a private rower can be hired.
- Located beneath the ski jumping hills at Štrbské Pleso, the Tatras Tower is the highest and highest-located lookout tower in the area. Rising 53 metres, it is one of the tallest towers of its kind in Europe and certainly the highest with an entrance altitude of 1,367 metres above sea level. The tower leans at 15 degrees and features a wooden walkway leading to a viewing platform with a suspended net. The outermost section of the platform has a glass floor for an added thrill. If you'd rather not walk back down, you can take a giant slide instead.
